December 1, 2024
Dear Friends,
As 2024 draws to a close, I trust you had a blessed Thanksgiving and are filled with joy as we approach the Christmas season, celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray that this holiday season brings peace, joy, and renewed hope to you and your loved ones.
This year has been a remarkable one for our ministry, and I wanted to share some encouraging
updates. We’ve been able to send many more cases of Jim’s book into prisons across the country,
and we’ve received heartfelt feedback Jom inmates whose lives havebeen deeply impacted by the messages of hope and redemption. It’s a reminder that God’s word knows no bounds, even behind prison walls.
In addition, the ministry team that worked alongside Jim in the prisons has continued the work aſter his passing. It’s been a blessing to see the ministry to the incarcerated remain strong and to know that the seeds Jim planted are still growing. The legacy of his faithful service is very much alive.
On a personal note, this season has brought its own set of challenges. Our home is still in the midst of moving chaos, as we have finally managed to move the boxes Jom storage into the garage, though we haven’t yet had the chance to unpack them. Unpacking will likely have to wait until spring—currently, I’m sidelined due to an injury. In the midst of the moving whirlwind, I tore a tendon in my ankle. Unfortunately, it hasn’t healed as expected, so I’m now in a cast for six weeks and unable to walk on it. Thankfully, I’m able to get around with a knee scooter, but it has limited my ability to get out and about. I’m still caring for Riker while Jessica and Nick work, but I’m relying on Nick for help with certain tasks. I would appreciate your prayers for full healing, as surgery may be needed if it doesn’t heal properly.
As we look to 2025, I’m filled with hope and anticipation for the opportunities that lie ahead. I
pray that the coming year will bring new beginnings, Jesh opportunities to share God’s love, and a renewed passion to reach those who are lost and hurting in our communities.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year, filled with the peace and joy of Christ’s love.
In His service,
Diane Newsom
